I DO NOT recommend this company under any circumstances!! I have received more assistance when I had a car payment if something came up then I have with VineBrook. I am at the point of taking them to court if necessary. I don’t know what else to do at this point. All they care about is money and making sure I have renters insurance on this house. I know as a resident/renter I have rights and I know this company is far from being right!! All these times I asked for hardship and nothing. I didn’t even get to fill out the application or send in any proof and was denied. Now all of sudden I am being offered the hardship. I have saved emails where I asked if there is a hardship program and was told no. I can see if I wasn’t trying to pay them that’s one thing but this is ridiculous. I’m not even near 30 days late and they already threatening eviction. I emailed the collections department and asked if they would give me until August 25th to pay my balance owed for August and their response was they can’t make a note on my account this late into my billing cycle. I have always tried to keep communication open with this company and never left a balance unpaid even if it was paid late. I am not bitter I am asking for them to be reasonable and work with me due to my circumstances. My family was also affected by Covid and I explained this also. It has been a nightmare!! My family was reduced to 1 income due to my husband’s back injury which has led us to filing for disability which was denied but now we have an appeal awaiting a decision. I currently rent a home from this company.
